Why Network Marketing  is a great opportunity...
Over the past few years I have had many discussions with many people. For the vast majority I find common themes in their life (and mine).

• There's must be more to life than this day to day existence

• I feel stuck           

• There is a great book inside of me – I just can’t get started

If these are your feelings I may have something that can help.

Sometimes success is an accident          
You fall in a stream and get carried to paradise. This was actually my experience.
In over 25 years in business I went from minimum wage to the executive staff of a $400M multinational company. I was actually embarrassed to speak about my salary (although I didn’t refuse it either).This was never my long term plan. I just took each day and did my best, had some mentors and worked at personal improvement. I learned many skills and felt personal growth and accomplishment. I was carried by a stream of opportunity and made the best of it.

My stream of opportunity dries up
Then one day my nice company was purchased, and over 7 years I was slowly phased out as the corporate mentality overwhelmed my situation. My stream of opportunity was drying up. Key decision making was now thousands of miles away. I was just another face. My skills were not valued and I didn’t know how to connect with the new key people and take advantage of the new opportunities (they were there).
I felt that people wouldn’t listen to me. I wasn’t accomplishing anything anymore. There were no mentors to help, Sink or swim.

 

Now what?
Many of you today may have the same feelings.

•             A mother may have worked at home for many years and now has an empty nest and feels unqualified to do meaningful work. Now what?
•             A person may be approaching retirement and looks at their projected income and see that they will have to cut back more than they thought. Now what?
•             Someone may be tired of working in a situation where they feel unappreciated or stuck because their education just isn’t good enough
•             Or it just may be that you need a second stream of income to make ends meet.

Now what?
 

“I’m no good at selling”. Well, me neither.
Now the one about “I’m no good at selling”. Well, me neither. But I am getting better at connecting. Selling always feels like I’m pushing something on someone. I hate being sold. But connecting is learning about what you have of value, then listening to an individual about there situation and seeing if what you have can help them with their situation. There is a positive way to have these conversations and we can learn it. Imagine how much easier it is when you really think you have something that can help someone. Learning these skills are beneficial, not only in a business but in life. Connecting with your spouse, children, friends as well as acquiring business partners can be very satisfying and change your life.
 
There are probably other questions that you may have. As I said, this gets down to what each individual desires and is willing to put out the effort for. I do believe in this way of achieving my own success and helping others as well. You know, we have a choice. Uncle Fred never lost weight, he was never good at selling and come to think of it, he didn’t smile much either. He stayed stuck! I don’t want to be an Uncle Fred. I don’t want it for you either. I can’t run for you on the treadmill. But I can help you get a clear picture of what your treadmill is, how you benefit from it and then root for you as you run. This may or may not be right for you. A New Stream of opportunity
I would like to share with you a chance to jump into a stream of opportunity, one that has helped many people to achieve a better place in their life.

Uncle Fred
Now you may say “Uncle Fred got involved in one of these and it never worked for him” or “I’m no good at selling”. Let’s look at these one at a time and see what we can find out about them. We all know an Uncle Fred. But remember I said this was an opportunity, not a guarantee. Remember when Uncle Fred brought a treadmill, sweat suit and running shoes? He now hangs his shirts on the treadmill. He never lost any weight. Many make the purchase and never lose weight or get in shape. Is it the treadmill's fault? No, the treadmill is the opportunity. What was lacking was the real desire and encouragement to get to the goal.
This is what happens to people. We want better and then get stuck half way. This is where a clear vision of what we want and why we want it is essential. It gets us up 45 mins earlier in the morning for a 30 min jog.
How can we get that clear vision of what we desire? Connection. The network in network marketing includes connection. By its very nature there is someone who is looking to help you succeed. By finding someone that you can connect to they can help you get unstuck, listen to what you want and help you put together actions to get to where you want to go. Think of it as a personal coach. They are incented by the way compensation is paid out. If I get 7% of what you produce, wouldn’t I help you produce more? But it becomes more than just money. I get satisfaction from your success. I’ve helped another person.
